I run events all over Cheshire and in Liverpool and I try to spread them out so there is always an event near you to choose from. Depending on your business, you may prefer just to attend events in your home town and there are certainly many ladies who only attend happenings on their own patch. A growing number of ladies however now travel further afield in the area and I highly recommend this as a way to build good business relationships.
A good example is the lady who designs pearls jewellery, who travelled from Denbigh to Warrington for our Vintage Afternoon tea in August. She met a lady who needed pearls for a wedding so she did some good business and it was worth her journey.
If you have a virtual business of course you can attract clients anywhere but I do suggest that whatever your business is, that there are benefits to moving out of your comfort zone and trying a new town.
My first Shropshire event is being held by popular request from the Shropshire ladies who currently must surely get the award for “Members who travel most to the furthest corners of Cheshire”. However I was amused and very pleased to see that the very first person to book on this fabulous lunch and workshop at Lion Quays near Oswestry was actually from Crewe!
One event that’s most decidedly worth the journey is our Positive Women’s Day in Liverpool on Nov 2nd. So I hope you take my advice and book yourself on now.
Positive Women’s Day – Blackburne House Liverpool November 2nd 9.30-3.15
Forward Ladies have been holding workshop days in Yorkshire for years and we trialled our first North West one in Runcorn in February. It was a great success with the only complaint being that people wanted to attend all the workshops (you get a choice of 3)!
We repeated four of them on a gorgeous sunny day in May at the amazing Success Factory where two of the workshops actually took place in a Yurt in the woods!
We are back to conventional meetings rooms for November but the venue and the workshops are equally inspiring. This workshop day promises to be a brilliant experience so please have a look at the choices on our web site and book on early.
